Senate Democrats Officially Pass $430 Billion Spending Bill

Unfortunately, Senators Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema will support the Democrat’s spending bill. There’s a big chance that America will continue to rack up debt, and our children will be stuck with the bill. We need to elect more fiscal conservatives to office who will make spending cuts a priority.

Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema agreed to support the Democratic spending bill. However, many Republicans are unhappy with the measure. They believe it is too costly and doesn’t do enough to reduce the deficit.

This is a huge mistake that will saddle American taxpayers with more debt. It’s a bit disappointing that these two senators would vote for this bill. As much as we would love to see Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema vote against the Democrats’ spending bill, it doesn’t seem like that will happen anymore.

Manchin and Sinema Supported Dem’s Spending Bill

Sen. Joe Manchin and Senate Majority Schumer announced they reached a deal to move forward with a revised Build Back Better Plan. The spending bill is now called the Inflation Reduction Act. The deal includes $430 billion in spending on:

  • Climate change
  • Drug pricing reform
  • Health care provisions
  • Over $300 billion in tax increases
  • An agreement between Schumer and Pelosi to vote on oil permitting reforms

Afterward, Krysten Sinema said she would “move forward” with the Democrats’ social spending after the Manchin-Schumer deal. She said, “We have agreed to remove the carried interest tax provision, protect advanced manufacturing, and boost our clean energy economy in the Senate’s budget reconciliation legislation.”

The Democratic senator added, “Subject to the Parliamentarian’s review. I’ll move forward.”

Because of Manchin and Sinema’s cooperation, the dems had momentum in the senate.

Senate Democrats Pass $430 Billion Spending Bill

After 18 months of negotiations and debate, the US Senate passed Biden’s spending plan. Harris cast her vote for the Inflation Reduction Act… to break the tie-breaker that Manchin and Sinema caused. The bill was passed in the Senate with no Republican voting in favor.

This was a victory for the liberals. Biden hailed the bill’s passage and highlighted the work that went into it. He said, “It required many compromises. Doing important things almost always does. The House should pass this as soon as possible, and I look forward to signing it into law.”

Meanwhile, our Patriot leaders started criticizing the deal after the announcement. They called it a “desperate attempt” to distract voters as the midterm elections approach… and dubbed it “Build Back Broke.”

Sen. Mitch McConnel also accused Democrats of voting to “double down on their economic disaster.” From its looks, none of our patriot leaders were happy with the results.

Let’s just hope we can rise and come back stronger after tasting defeat from the dems. No matter what happens, our patriots will be here to support our leaders…
